Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Contract Skilled and detail-oriented professionals are sought for an exciting opportunity to provide ultrasound imaging services in a healthcare setting. Candidates with experience in general ultrasound procedures and up-to-date knowledge of sonography best practices will thrive in this essential patient care role. The contract position offers the chance to make a significant clinical impact while working alongside dedicated medical teams.
Key Qualifications:
Formal training as an Ultrasound Technician/Sonographer from an accredited program Proficiency in general ultrasound imaging techniques and the safe use of ultrasound equipment Current ARDMS certification (or equivalent) preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare staff Ability to obtain and maintain compliance with facility credentialing requirements Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality general ultrasound studies in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and ensuring comfort throughout exams Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring accuracy and safety Accurately document results, inputting pertinent patient and exam data into electronic health records Collaborate with radiologists and the broader care team to clarify findings and optimize patient outcomes Adhere to all regulatory, infection control, and quality assurance standards This contract is suited for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional diagnostic services and maintaining a positive patient experience. Engagement in this role will cover a defined contract period, with the possibility of extension based on facility needs.
