    With CT:

    • + Provides patient services using imaging modalities.
    Performs radiographic procedures. Evaluates radiographs for technical quality. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures. Provides patient care essential to radiographic procedures. Recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiates life support measures. Performs all aspects of clerical duties essential to running an efficient department. Maintains all equipment to obtain best possible results. Is in-serviced in QA program and helps obtain information needed. Helps perform testing required by NYSDOH. Follows hospital and department policies. Assists in film retrieval from off-site storage facility.
    Requirements:
    Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) Accredited Medical Imaging Program, or equivalent; American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification, or equivalent; competency in components of Medical Imaging practice as appropriate; valid state credential, if applicable. When applicable, a department technologist will be assigned as QA/QC tech, collecting data and results. When applicable, a department technologist will be assigned as clinical instructor for radiology students. When applicable, a trained CT technologist will perform all CT scans as assigned and associated duties with this specialty. Must possess knowledge of age specific needs and growth and development requirements for the infant through geriatric age population served as is relevant to Radiologic procedures. Current CPR Certification required. CT Tech's are required to have licensed certified to inject per requirements on Section 89.40 of Part 89. All internal candidates must apply via our website.
