Key Qualifications:

Registered or registry-eligible by ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) Proven experience performing general ultrasound procedures in a clinical or hospital environment Strong knowledge of sonography equipment, safety standards, and patient positioning Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort and safety throughout the imaging process Adjust and operate ultrasound equipment to capture clear images for accurate diagnostic information Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient care Document procedures, maintain organized records, and ensure confidentiality of patient information Adhere to all infection control, privacy, and safety guidelines within the imaging department
