Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Contract Step into a vital imaging services role where your expertise as an Ultrasound Technologist is valued in providing exceptional patient care. In this contract opportunity, you'll perform a variety of ultrasound procedures for diagnostic purposes, collaborating closely with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver accurate, timely results.
Key Qualifications:
Current certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) or registry-eligible, with certification completed within 6 months of hire Proficiency in general imaging ultrasound studies (abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts) Proven experience operating ultrasound equipment and documenting findings Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology recognition Ability to provide compassionate patient care and clear explanations of procedures Excellent communication and organizational abilities Current CPR/BLS certification
Schedule/Hours:
Availability for flexible shifts, including rotating weekends and potential on-call hours, to best support patient needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare patients and equipment for ultrasound examinations, ensuring compliance with safety procedures Perform and document a range of general ultrasound imaging exams per established protocols Collaborate with radiologists and referring providers for optimal image interpretation and clinical outcomes Maintain accurate patient records within electronic medical systems Oversee routine equipment checks and arrange for necessary maintenance Uphold infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards at all times
