The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations with precision and compassion, providing critical imaging services for maternal-fetal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology (Ob/Gyn), and general diagnostic radiology. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques to support accurate diagnoses and patient care. The Ultrasound Technologist will work closely with physicians and patients to deliver high-quality imaging services in a professional and sterile environment. Duties Conduct ultrasound examinations, including obstetric, gynecologic, and other diagnostic procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging results. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and maintaining patient care standards. Apply aseptic techniques to prevent infection during imaging procedures. Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately capture images necessary for diagnosis. Operate advanced sonography equipment while adhering to safety protocols and best practices in medical imaging. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed and findings observed during each examination. Collaborate with physicians to interpret images and provide preliminary reports when appropriate. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain a sterile environment throughout all procedures. Stay current with advancements in sonography technology and techniques through ongoing professional development. Qualifications Proven experience or training in maternal-fetal medicine, Ob/Gyn, or general diagnostic radiology preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to ultrasound imaging. Proficiency in sonography techniques, including 2D/3D imaging, Doppler ultrasound, and other diagnostic modalities. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and team members. Ability to apply aseptic technique consistently to ensure patient safety. Knowledge of medical imaging equipment operation and maintenance. Prior experience in patient care environments demonstrating compassion and professionalism. Certification or licensure as an Ultrasound Technologist or Sonographer is highly desirable.
