Lead the Future of a Growing Practice in Decatur, Alabama An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Managing Veterinarian (MDVM) to lead a thriving small animal practice in Decatur, Alabama . We're looking for a veterinarian with 3+ years of companion animal experience who is ready to step into a leadership role. Previous Managing Veterinarian experience isn't required—we're looking for someone who enjoys mentoring others, leading by example, and helping build a positive, collaborative culture while continuing to practice exceptional medicine. This is an especially exciting time to join the team. Essential Responsibilities:

What You'll Do Provide high-quality medical and surgical care, including wellness exams, diagnostics, dentistry, treatment planning, and surgery Build lasting client relationships through clear communication, preventive care education, and compassionate end-of-life guidance Lead by example while maintaining the highest standards of medical care and ethical practice Mentor and support associate veterinarians through collaboration and day-to-day coaching Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on exceptional patient care Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and medical protocol

Requirements/Qualifications:

Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school Active Alabama veterinary license (or ability to obtain) DEA license (or eligibility to obtain) 3+ years of companion animal clinical experience preferred Previous leadership or mentorship experience is a plus, but not required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Collaborative leadership style with a passion for developing others Commitment to exceptional patient care and client service Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently and assist with larger patients or equipment as needed
