What they do
A Veterinarian provides medical care to animals. Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries. Specializes in treating either pets and small domesticated animals, or large animals and livestock, or wild animals. May work on farms, in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, in animal shelters, or in hospitals or clinics that specialize in caring for animals. May inspect livestock used for food and check compliance with food safety regulations, or work in laboratories doing clinical research on animal and human diseases.

7 exam rooms, an overnight sleeping room, digital radiographs, dental radiographs, ligasure, ultrasound, 2 oxygen chambers, a dedicated surgical suite, a dedicated dental suite, we offer boarding services Hands-free radiology strongly encouraged AAHA accredited Board certified cardiologist, criticalists, and dermatologists that visit our clinic at least once per month seeing cases. VCA Bakersfield has been in operations since 1929. Opportunity to see a large variety of cases as VCA Bakersfield is the only 24/7 emergency hospital in the area Students and new graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive dedicated mentorship Schedule Full-Time, Part-Time, Rotating (put specifics if you have a specific one to fill) Overnights, swings, and weekends.Hours of Operation:

Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities and other relevant credentials. This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs.
