Village Oak Veterinary Hospital in Modesto, Northgate and Manteca Veterinary Hospitals in Manteca. VAHA is owned by three practicing veterinarians, with one owner working regularly at each hospital. This means every location has accessible, on-site leadership, and clinical and operational decisions are made locally by people who understand the day-to-day realities of veterinary practice. We are looking for full-time or part-time associate veterinarians to join any of our three hospitals. Doctors are encouraged to pursue their individual clinical interests and develop new skills. We believe good medicine comes from collaboration rather than rigid protocols. You will have the freedom to recommend care based on the needs of each patient while having experienced colleagues available whenever you want another perspective. Mentorship and Professional Development New graduates are encouraged to apply. Mentorship is tailored to the individual veterinarian and includes collaborative case review, support with surgery and dentistry, and access to experienced general practitioners and visiting specialists. Experienced veterinarians will find an environment that respects their clinical judgment, allows them to practice independently, and provides the resources and professional support needed to deliver high-quality care. Compensation Full-time doctors receive a base salary starting at $145,000, negotiable based on experience, with 22% production and no negative accrual. At an established caseload, annual compensation of $250,000 or more is realistic, with no upper limit on production-based earnings and no negative accrual. Part-time compensation is negotiable based on experience and schedule. Manteca Veterinary Hospital is a modern hospital renovated in 2018 and designed to support efficient workflow, collaborative medicine, and continued growth. Because our hospitals operate as one locally owned group, our doctors have access to a broader network of colleagues, equipment, specialty services, and professional support.
