• Type Yearly Salary Position Veterinarian Description High Country Veterinary Hospital is a privately owned small-animal practice proudly serving pets and their families in Southern Colorado Springs and the surrounding communities.

We are seeking a passionate Associate Veterinarian to join our dedicated team. We are looking for someone who wants to build meaningful relationships with clients, provide quality care to patients, and grow alongside a dedicated veterinary team.

Your responsibilities will include:

Performing comprehensive physical examinations and developing individualized treatment plans. Diagnosing and managing a variety of companion-animal medical conditions. Performing routine surgical and dental procedures, as appropriate to your experience. Utilizing appropriate diagnostics, including laboratory testing and imaging, to support patient care. Communicating clearly and compassionately with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care. Collaborating with our veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure excellent patient care and a positive client experience. Following and contributing to clinical protocols and hospital standards. Participating in ongoing learning and professional development. Providing occasional extended or flexible hours when needed to support hospital operations and patient care.

• DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
• Active, unrestricted Colorado veterinary license, or eligibility for licensure.
• Clinical proficiency in companion-animal medicine, including examinations, diagnostics, treatment planning, and medical and surgical case management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A compassionate, team-oriented approach to patient and client care.
• A commitment to continued professional growth.
• Interest or experience in exotic and wildlife medicine is highly desirable, but not required.
