A Veterinarian provides medical care to animals. Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries. Specializes in treating either pets and small domesticated animals, or large animals and livestock, or wild animals. May work on farms, in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, in animal shelters, or in hospitals or clinics that specialize in caring for animals. We offer top-of-the-line animal services for dogs and cats at Ormond Beach and surrounding areas in Volusia County. We are also thrilled to report that Ormond Beach Family Vet is growing. We recently relocated into a brand new, state-of-the-art, forever home!

Position Purpose:

Come extern with us! Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program works to provide veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them 'practice ready' by their first day in practice. Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed. Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Eligibility Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School Must be able to provide student PLIT
