May work on farms, in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, in animal shelters, or in hospitals or clinics that specialize in caring for animals. May inspect livestock used for food and check compliance with food safety regulations, or work in laboratories doing clinical research on animal and human diseases.

Job Description

Full time associate veterinarian needed at Mount Berry Animal Hospital, a progressive practice that emphasizes high quality medicine and client education. We have a highly trained support staff who takes pride in treating pets like the valued family member they are. Our 8500 square foot facility is well equipped with 5 examination rooms, 2 surgery suites, electrocautery, ligasure, digital x-ray (standard and dental), ultrasound, therapeutic laser, and full in-house laboratory. Our hospital has an excellent mentoring program and actively works with the Berry College pre-veterinary undergraduate program. We often host veterinary students for internships; therefore, new graduates are encouraged to apply. A competitive salary and benefit package is offered. Rome is a small college town, located between Atlanta, GA and Chattanooga, TN with plenty of outdoor recreation (parks, bike/walking tails, hiking, kayaking, tennis etc), festivals, and excellent schools. By joining us you will have the ability to practice high quality "big city" medicine without the stress and traffic.
