Description Job Description Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (NIVES) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Emergency Veterinarian to join our collaborative, team-focused hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. As a busy 24-hour, multi-specialty, and emergency referral hospital, we offer an incredible opportunity to thrive in a high-level setting while making a meaningful impact on patient care. Schedule:
We believe in a strongly balanced work life. Our schedules include a 3-day work week, 10-12 hour shifts and every other weekend off.
Support:
We have a minimum of 2 Emergency Veterinarians and 8 support staff (2-3 receptionists, 2-3 treatment technicians and 3 dedicated ICU technicians) per shift.   • Work alongside board-certified specialists in Surgery, Critical Care, Cardiology, and Internal Medicine, plus 12 experienced doctors dedicated to emergency medicine. Blood Donor Program
  • Our in-house blood donor program ensures critical patients receive life-saving transfusions when they need them most. On-Site Social Worker
  • We understand the emotional toll of veterinary medicine. Our social worker is on-site four days a week to support both our team and clients through difficult cases. Teaching & Mentorship Culture
