A Veterinarian provides medical care to animals. Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries. Specializes in treating either pets and small domesticated animals, or large animals and livestock, or wild animals. May work on farms, in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, in animal shelters, or in hospitals or clinics that specialize in caring for animals. May inspect livestock used for food and check compliance with food safety regulations, or work in laboratories doing clinical research on animal and human diseases.

Located in Harrodsburg, KY, Commonwealth Animal Hospital is a full service, small animal hospital seeking a veterinarian for an associate position to join our team. You will be able to practice high-quality, progressive medicine in our busy small animal practice. While experience is preferred, we welcome new graduates. Our hospital is equipped with full Idexx In-House Laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, physical rehabilitation suite with underwater treadmill, cold therapy laser, and fully-equipped surgical suite with Surgivet patient monitors. We are always open to and encourage new ideas. The cases you will manage range from preventative care to internal medicine, surgery, dentistry and emergency services.
