Job Description

We are a 2 veterinarian small animal and exotic practice, we are looking for another full time or part time Veterinarian to add to our team! Our clinic specializes in dogs, cats, pocket pets and exotic pets. Your day-to-day as a Vet looks like: Routine surgeries or non routine if you are comfortable with it, seeing routine and sick appointments, prescribing medications, and sometimes dealing with emergencies. If you love being around animals and are committed to offering them the best possible healthcare, we'd like to meet you. Ultimately, you'll act as the point of contact for pet owners, whether it's to treat illnesses and injuries or to advise on animal nutrition and general care. This is a great place to work if you are wanting to learn more about exotic pets! One of our vets has been working on exotics for most of his career ranging from typical exotics such as pocket pets, reptiles, and birds to your more exotic pets like monkeys, sloths, wallabies and much more! Medical & Dental Insurance is covered in full for all associate veterinarians. We also have 401k matching plan as well. Responsibilities Examine animals and check their health status Diagnose illnesses and determine the best treatment Dress wounds of injured animals Perform routine surgeries and comprehensive surgeries(if willing/or able) Vaccinate animals to prevent diseases Prescribe medication Advise pet owners on nutrition, preventive healthcare and general care Update client records Work with local rescues Skills Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree is required Work experience as a Veterinarian or Veterinary Student Graduate Experience conducting various types of surgeries, vaccinations and health checks on animals Knowledge of medical equipment and anesthesia procedures Problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions using simple language Availability to take early evening or weekend shifts in cases of emergency Patience and a love for animals

$150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year Expected hours: 38.0 - 40.0 per week
