Support Looking for a busy, established practice where you can practice great medicine, learn from an experienced team, and build lasting relationships with your clients? At Lee's Summit Animal Hospital, you'll join a hospital that has been part of the Lee's Summit community for more than 60 years. Our doctors are consistently booked, and we're adding another small animal veterinarian to expand appointment availability, welcome new clients, and continue growing the practice. You'll work alongside a collaborative team with more than 87 years of combined DVM experience and more than 120 years of combined RVT experience. Our doctors regularly collaborate on challenging cases, assist one another with procedures, and share their knowledge and experience throughout the day. This position is being added because our current doctors are consistently booked and we want to create additional appointment availability rather than turn away demand. 60+ years serving the Lee's Summit community Strong, established client base with high demand for care 6 veterinarians and 8 RVTs More than 87 years of combined DVM experience More than 120 years of combined RVT experience Collaborative doctors who regularly consult on challenging cases Strong emphasis on mentorship and hands-on learning Opportunities to keep appropriate cases in-house rather than immediately referring them out A Team That Supports You You'll have experienced support around you throughout the day. Appointment doctors have a dedicated technician/assistant The surgery veterinarian has 3-4 dedicated technicians/assistants Dedicated kennel technician supporting surgery patients and providing additional hospital support 8 RVTs across the hospital Experienced doctors who regularly assist with procedures and help colleagues develop new skills Our doctors work collaboratively throughout the day. If a case is challenging, you don't have to figure it out alone. Doctors regularly discuss cases, share their knowledge, scrub in to assist with procedures, and help one another build confidence with new techniques. Practice Great Medicine Lee's Summit Animal Hospital is equipped to provide comprehensive veterinary care, including: Digital radiography, including dental radiography Ultrasound In-house laboratory with reference laboratory access Eight exam rooms Dedicated isolation ward Electronic medical records with AI-powered note-taking tools Dedicated soft-tissue surgery suite Opportunities for orthopedic surgery exposure Dedicated Surgery Time Each veterinarian who performs surgery currently has a dedicated surgery day, allowing you to build your schedule around the type of medicine you enjoy practicing. Surgery days are supported by a dedicated team of 3-4 technicians/assistants, giving the surgery veterinarian the support needed to focus on patient care. There are also opportunities to develop your skills in soft-tissue surgery, dentistry, orthopedic procedures, and other areas of interest. A Diverse Caseload While this is a small animal position, one of the things that makes Lee's Summit unique is the variety of patients and cases seen throughout the hospital. You'll have the opportunity to practice general medicine, wellness, surgery, dentistry, and advanced diagnostics while working alongside veterinarians with different areas of expertise. The hospital also sees a small number of exotic patients, providing an opportunity to gain exposure to exotics if that interests you.
