Description Full-Time Associate Veterinarian - Mebane Veterinary Hospital (Mebane, NC) Mebane Veterinary Hospital is a leading, trusted small animal practice dedicated to providing exceptional, compassionate care to the Mebane community and surrounding areas, including Carrboro, Efland, and Burlington. We're looking for a Full-Time Associate Veterinarian with strong surgical skills and confidence to join our team and take a lead role in our surgical caseload. Position Overview We are seeking a Full-Time Associate Veterinarian (DVM) with a strong interest and skill set in surgery to join our growing practice. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys being hands-on in the surgical suite as much as in the exam room, and who's looking to make a real impact on a well-established hospital's surgical capacity.
What You'll Do:
Perform a variety of surgical procedures, including routine soft tissue surgeries, with opportunity to expand caseload complexity based on skill and interest Provide comprehensive general practice (GP) medical care, including physical exams, diagnostics, and treatment plans Utilize in-house diagnostics, including digital imaging, to guide surgical and treatment decisions Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding surgical recommendations and outcomes Maintain accurate medical and surgical records Collaborate closely with support staff to ensure efficient surgical scheduling and patient flow
Schedule:
Full-time role Monday-Thursday, 7:30 AM-5:00 PM; Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM Closed weekends Core Competencies Small Animal Surgery (priority focus) Surgical Case Management Companion Animal Medicine Preventive Veterinary Care Veterinary Diagnostics Veterinary Dentistry Anesthesia & Surgical Protocol Development Client Communication & Education Diagnostic Imaging Interpretation Clinical Decision-Making Patient Advocacy Team Collaboration Medical Record Documentation Time Management & Efficiency Leadership & Mentorship Compassionate Patient Care Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) Licensed or eligible for veterinary licensure in North Carolina Demonstrated surgical proficiency and comfort with a variety of soft tissue procedures Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to high-quality patient care Collaborative and team-oriented mindset Passion for continued learning and professional growth
