Job Description

Relief Veterinarian | Regular Weekly Coverage | New Bern, NC We are working on behalf of a well established, full service small animal hospital in New Bern, NC that is looking for a Relief Veterinarian to provide regular weekday coverage. There is scope for up to three days per week on an ongoing basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who wants the consistency of a regular weekly booking without committing to a full time position. The hospital is happy to shape the schedule around the right veterinarian, making it particularly suitable for someone looking to secure dependable relief work alongside their existing commitments. You will be supported by a capable and largely cross trained team, including receptionists, veterinary assistants and kennel assistants. The support team helps prepare rooms, move appointments along, collect samples and assist with diagnostics, allowing you to concentrate on your patients and clients. There will be three to four support team members scheduled around the veterinarian. The caseload offers a varied mix of small animal general practice, including wellness appointments, sick visits, puppy and kitten checks, preventative care and same day cases. The hospital provides a broad range of medical and diagnostic services, including radiography, bloodwork, dentistry, dermatology, senior care and health screening. Located in the historic riverfront city of New Bern, this opportunity also offers an attractive setting close to the North Carolina coast, with a welcoming community and a more relaxed pace of life outside work.
