A Veterinarian provides medical care to animals. Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries. Specializes in treating either pets and small domesticated animals, or large animals and livestock, or wild animals. May work on farms, in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, in animal shelters, or in hospitals or clinics that specialize in caring for animals. May inspect livestock used for food and check compliance with food safety regulations, or work in laboratories doing clinical research on animal and human diseases.

Job Description

We are looking to hire full time or part time Licensed Veterinary Technician (either experienced or new graduate) or Veterinary Assisstant to provide compassionate patient care and positive client experiences. We are and remain committed to be a fun and rewarding place to work. Pay is competitive and commensurate with experience. Wachal Pet Health Center has been in the West Lincoln area for 30 years. We have very recently moved to a spacious, new, modern facility with state of the art equipment. We are currently a 3 Dr. practice with room for growth. We strive to provide a fun, fast paced experience where you can use all of your technical skills and make a real difference in assisting the veterinarians in providing complete patient care. Our veterinary technicians are a critical part of our staff working closely and harmoniously with the entire staff! Experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician is preferred but new graduates of an Accredited Veterinary Technician Program are welcome as well. We are focused on mentoring and are eager to create growth opportunities for our staff. At Wachal Pet Health Center you will be challenged to use a wide variety of your veterinary technician skills. Job skills needed but not limited to: Patient restraint/medications Anesthesia induction and monitoring Surgery prep Dental cleaning/dental digital x-ray Blood draws/IV catheter placement Perform common lab test with Zoetis equipment Medical records updates/appointment processing with Cornerstone Patient x-ray with digital x-ray Client communication/interaction in person and on the phone
