How you practice medicine matters. At Northwood Veterinary Hospital, great veterinary medicine starts with strong relationships—with our patients, our clients, and each other. We're a proudly independent, four-doctor practice looking for a part-time veterinarian who values collaboration, flexibility, compassion, and individualized care. For more than 40 years, we've been part of the Northwood community, caring for pets through every stage of life. Our services include preventive and wellness care, surgery, dentistry, rehabilitation, and physical therapy, giving our doctors the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients and the families who love them. How We Practice Medicine The best hospitals aren't built around one doctor—they're built by a team that trusts each other, shares knowledge, and works together. Our doctors collaborate daily, talk through cases, ask questions, and offer different perspectives. There's no expectation to practice medicine on an island here. We want our doctors learning from each other and leaning on the collective experience of the entire medical team. That same collaborative approach extends to our clients. We meet families where they are. Our job is to educate, explain options, advocate for the patient, and work with the client to find a plan that makes sense for their pet and their circumstances. There's no cookie-cutter approach to medicine here. Thoughtful care sometimes means having more than one good path forward. Why Northwood? Independent ownership gives us the flexibility to keep our focus where it belongs: on our patients, clients, team, and community. We're looking for someone who's curious, collaborative, and willing to jump in when needed. Someone who takes their medicine seriously—but doesn't necessarily take themselves too seriously. We work hard, learn from each other, support one another, and still find plenty of reasons to laugh along the way. We're not looking for someone to simply see appointments.
