Specializes in treating either pets and small domesticated animals, or large animals and livestock, or wild animals. May work on farms, in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, in animal shelters, or in hospitals or clinics that specialize in caring for animals. May inspect livestock used for food and check compliance with food safety regulations, or work in laboratories doing clinical research on animal and human diseases.

Job Description

Harborside Veterinary Hospital, a four-doctor small animal practice, is seeking a full-time veterinarian to join our friendly and dedicated staff. Our beautiful, state-of-the-art facility is located next to Huntington Harbor on the north shore of Long Island, New York. We are in an affluent area that allows us to practice the highest level of medicine. We have in-house chemistry, digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray and are completely paperless. We have a brand new SamSung HS60 ultrasound. The majority of our medical cases are worked up and treated in-house. We have a pleasant working environment with very high staff retention. As a privately owned hospital our focus is on care, not sales. In addition to normal days off, our phenomenal rotating schedule affords you five consecutive days off every three weeks. We are looking for a team oriented individual with excellent communication skills and an interest in learning ultrasound diagnostics.
