A Veterinarian provides medical care to animals. Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries. Specializes in treating either pets and small domesticated animals, or large animals and livestock, or wild animals. May work on farms, in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, in animal shelters, or in hospitals or clinics that specialize in caring for animals. May inspect livestock used for food and check compliance with food safety regulations, or work in laboratories doing clinical research on animal and human diseases.

Job Description
Requirements:
1) DVM must have a minimum of five years of related practical work experience as a licensed and practicing Veterinarian in the state where the Veterinary Technician program is located. 2) Current, valid license in good standing as a Veterinarian in the state where the Veterinary Technician program is located. 3) Faculty members for the Veterinary program must be a current registered and licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and have graduated from an AVMA accredited program. These individuals must meet the continuing education requirements as set by the Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board (OVMLB). 4) All incumbents must have the ability to express ideas in a clear, concise and motivating manner and employ effective questioning techniques to encourage students to pursue their own answers. They must have the ability and organizational skills necessary to maintain an accurate tracking system and be able to establish a disciplined learning environment.Job Type:
