Responsibilities Provide comprehensive veterinary care for companion animals, exotic animals, and occasionally equine patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Perform general surgeries and dental procedures utilizing aseptic techniques and advanced surgical skills. Administer anesthesia and monitor critically ill animals during procedures, ensuring safety with proper anesthesiology protocols. Handle animal restraint and animal handling techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff during examinations and procedures. Manage emergency cases with veterinary critical care expertise, including stabilization and intensive care treatments. Communicate effectively with clients about diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care, fostering trust and understanding. Maintain accurate medical records following clinical ethical guidelines while adhering to veterinary terminology standards. Assist with laboratory diagnostics, internal medicine cases, oncology treatments, cardiology assessments, and other specialized services as needed. Support animal husbandry practices including pet grooming, animal catheterization, and ensuring proper animal physiology and anatomy knowledge is applied during care. Qualifications Proven veterinary experience with a strong foundation in companion animal medicine; experience with exotic animals or equine cases is a plus. Proficiency in animal restraint, anesthesia administration (including general anesthesia), and aseptic surgical techniques. Knowledge of veterinary internal medicine, dentistry, cardiology, oncology, emergency medicine, surgery, and critical & intensive care protocols. Skilled in animal handling across different species with excellent pet grooming and animal husbandry abilities. Familiarity with veterinary terminology and laboratory diagnostic procedures relevant to diverse case management. Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; ability to explain complex medical information clearly. Commitment to professional ethics and adherence to clinical ethical guidelines in all aspects of practice.
