Doylestown Veterinary Hospital is looking for an experienced small animal veterinarian to join our independently owned, veterinarian-run practice in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. We're not looking for someone who practices exactly the way we do. We're looking for a good veterinarian who enjoys medicine, thinks carefully about patients, communicates well with clients and colleagues, and wants to continue becoming a better doctor. DVH is a full-service small animal hospital with a strong conventional medical, surgical and dental foundation and an unusually broad approach to patient care. Members of our veterinary team have additional training in areas including acupuncture, homeopathy, nutrition, herbal medicine and chiropractic care. You do not need previous integrative medicine experience to work here. If you're an excellent GP veterinarian who has become interested in nutrition, acupuncture, rehabilitation, herbs, integrative medicine—or simply wishes you had more tools available for the patients who don't fit neatly into a textbook—we would be very interested in meeting you. Why DVH? First and foremost, we are independently owned. DVH is owned, run and managed by veterinarians. Decisions about medicine and the direction of the hospital are made by people who understand veterinary practice because we are practicing veterinarians ourselves. We believe doctors should have professional autonomy, excellent support and the opportunity to develop their own areas of interest. We also believe that having a life outside veterinary medicine matters. Our doctors' schedules are designed to allow time to practice thoughtful medicine without feeling rushed. A typical eight-hour shift includes approximately six hours of patient contact time, with 30-minute appointments as our standard, and the remaining time available for records, callbacks, reviewing results and case management. Our extended hospital hours also give us flexibility in creating individual doctor schedules and workweeks. If you hear about something interesting and find yourself reading about it later, signing up for the course, talking to someone who knows more about it, or figuring out how it might help your patients, you'll probably fit in very well here.
