A Veterinarian provides medical care to animals. Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries. Specializes in treating either pets and small domesticated animals, or large animals and livestock, or wild animals. May work on farms, in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, in animal shelters, or in hospitals or clinics that specialize in caring for animals. May inspect livestock used for food and check compliance with food safety regulations, or work in laboratories doing clinical research on animal and human diseases.

Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions. Triage incoming patients, receive new emergency cases, and manage hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment. Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine. Collaborate closely with Emergency, Internal Medicine, Surgery, technicians, and support teams to provide exceptional patient care. Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations. Participate in mentorship, continuing education, and ongoing clinical development. What You Bring We're looking for an Emergency Veterinarian who wants more than just another ER job. DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure. Completion of a rotating internship or experience practicing emergency medicine is preferred, but we are also open to experienced GPs interested in transitioning to ER. Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and a compassionate, client-centered approach.
