A Veterinarian provides medical care to animals. Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries. Specializes in treating either pets and small domesticated animals, or large animals and livestock, or wild animals. May work on farms, in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, in animal shelters, or in hospitals or clinics that specialize in caring for animals. May inspect livestock used for food and check compliance with food safety regulations, or work in laboratories doing clinical research on animal and human diseases.

Company DescriptionBluffton, South CarolinaLowcountry Vets at May River is seeking experienced Veterinarians — both part-time and full-time — to join our team as we expand into urgent care hours. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a growing urgent care offering from the ground up, while practicing in one of the most scenic corners of South Carolina's Lowcountry.
We're looking for experienced doctors who are excited about building something new: expanding our May River location's hours to better serve pets and families who need care outside the standard appointment window. You'll have real input into how our urgent care hours take shape, working alongside a warm, experienced, and highly regarded local team.

DVM/VMD from an accredited veterinary programActive or eligible South Carolina veterinary licensePrior clinical experience required — this role is best suited for an experienced doctor comfortable managing urgent cases independentlyOpenness and enthusiasm for helping build out a new urgent care schedule and workflowStrong communication skills and genuine compassion for animals and their ownersOpen to both part-time and full-time candidatesAdditional Information
