Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Urgent Care Veterinarian to join our dynamic veterinary team in Georgetown, TX. In this vital role, you will provide prompt, high-quality medical care to a diverse range of animals requiring urgent attention. Your expertise will help stabilize critical patients, perform emergency procedures, and deliver compassionate care while working in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners, ensuring swift and effective treatment during times of need. Duties Join a fast-paced emergency veterinary practice with no overnight shifts A supportive and collaborative team environment with 4-5 experienced nurses per DVM A commitment to diversity and inclusion in veterinary medicine A focus on work/life balance with flexible scheduling and a range of benefits No tolerance policy for abusive clients Flexible scheduling, top salary, quarterly bonuses, PTO, paid parental leave, and optional 401k with a 3% company match Assess and triage incoming emergency cases with confidence and professionalism Perform comprehensive examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans for urgent cases Administer anesthesia, including general anesthesia, with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques Conduct veterinary surgeries and procedures such as wound management, fracture repairs, and soft tissue surgeries Manage critical care cases, including intensive monitoring and supportive therapies for critically ill animals Maintain high standards of professional ethics and adhere to clinical ethical guidelines throughout all treatments Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution Proven veterinary experience with a focus on emergency medicine or critical care settings Strong knowledge of veterinary internal medicine, surgery, anesthesiology, and animal physiology Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to pet owners' concerns Experience in laboratory diagnostics and familiarity with emergency protocols is highly desirable Commitment to professional ethics, continuous learning, and providing exceptional animal care Join us in delivering urgent veterinary services that save lives and bring relief during critical moments.
