A well-established, independently owned small animal practice in Houston is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join its growing multi-doctor team. You will also be joining an established multi-doctor team with experienced, tenured support staff around you from day one. You won't simply be handed a full caseload and expected to figure everything out alone. You will have experienced clinicians available to discuss cases, help build your confidence and support the development of your medical and surgical skills. For an experienced veterinarian , the environment offers something different: the freedom to practice medicine with autonomy, contribute ideas and have a genuine voice in how the practice develops. The Role You will practice the full breadth of small animal general medicine within a busy, well-equipped clinic with a loyal client base, including: Wellness, preventive care and general medicine Medical workups and treatment planning Routine and soft tissue surgery Dentistry, including extractions Diagnostic imaging and in-house diagnostics Client communication and continuity of care Clinical interests are welcomed, with plenty of opportunity to continue developing your skills. About the Practice The clinic has been serving the Houston community for more than 20 years and is now entering an exciting new chapter under veterinarian ownership. This is an independently owned practice , where clinical and business decisions are made locally by a veterinarian owner who understands what it's actually like to work in practice. Alongside the veterinary team, you will be supported by an experienced hospital manager and long-standing support staff. The owner is hands-on and focused on continuing to invest in both the hospital and the people within it. What We Are Looking For DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited program, or internationally equivalent qualification Active Texas veterinary license or eligibility to obtain one prior to starting Compassionate, client-focused approach Strong communication and teamwork skills All experience levels are genuinely welcome.
