Position Summary:

The Heavy-Duty Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of trucks and equipment. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring strong mechanical ability, attention to detail, and a team-first mindset. You'll be trusted to keep equipment running safely and efficiently while supporting overall shop productivity.

What You'll Be Doing:

Inspect, diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks, trailers and equipment Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation Suggest additional service work when appropriate Meet deadlines set by the Service Manager Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe Properly use and maintain company tools and equipment Work closely with technicians, parts, and service teams to keep workflow moving Step in to support and mentor other technicians when needed

What We're Looking For:

Experience with: Heavy truck suspension, steering, and brakes Hydraulic systems Pneumatic systems Electrical diagnostics Welding and fabrication Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills Good communication and a team-oriented mindset Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on shop environment Basic computer skills Must have your own tools Valid Michigan driver's license required; CDL preferred Clean driving record and insurable under company policy Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
