Job Description

About the Role As a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will serve as a critical member of our technical team, ensuring the reliability and peak performance of our industrial fleet. You will utilize your expertise in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems to diagnose complex issues and execute repairs, directly impacting our operational uptime and facility efficiency. Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions in a diverse fleet of material handling equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on LP and electric forklifts, including reach trucks utilizing AC motor technology. Maintain operational readiness for specialized equipment such as yard tractors, industrial sweepers, scrubbers, and utility vehicles. Execute engine repairs and system overhauls on small gasoline, propane, and natural gas-powered units. Document maintenance activities and parts usage within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track fleet health. Conduct rigorous machine safety inspections to ensure all equipment adheres to strict workplace safety standards. Manage your own professional-grade toolset to perform high-quality repairs across various industrial platforms. Qualifications Required Skills Proven proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and industrial engine repair. Demonstrated experience maintaining and repairing hydraulic and electrical systems. Strong understanding of machine safety protocols and assembly techniques. Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship. Preferred Skills Prior experience working within a dealership or high-volume industrial maintenance environment. Hands-on experience with specific forklift brands such as Raymond, Crown, or Toyota. Familiarity with fleet management practices and CMMS software. Experience servicing yard tractors, tugs, or heavy-duty trailers.
