  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic team.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our fleet operating smoothly, supporting construction, farming, and industrial operations. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts and schematics. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, brake repairs, transmission servicing, hydraulic system troubleshooting, suspension adjustments, and tire service to maximize equipment lifespan. Fabricate custom parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, and power tools to meet specific operational requirements. Repair and maintain diesel engines, air brake systems, HVAC units, electrical systems, and powertrain components ensuring compliance with safety standards. Use detailed schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately; perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on complex systems. Operate heavy equipment safely during repair procedures and assist in the assembly or disassembly of machinery components. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and ensuring timely completion of maintenance tasks. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment or dealership backgrounds preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across diverse machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, farm machinery, and industrial equipment. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, HVAC systems, and tire service. Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; capable of using hand tools and power tools efficiently. Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret OEM manuals for precise repairs. Experience with heavy lifting techniques safely handling large components or machinery parts. Valid certification in diesel engine repair, brake repair (including air brakes), alignment services or related fields is highly desirable.
