• Full-time Description We are a growing real estate company with a successful track record and as innovative and nimble.

We always seek new ways to "do" real estate, and one way is to build a team of energetic, savvy people. We seek an experienced, full-time Maintenance Technician to add to our team . As a Maintenance Technician the work day will consist of hands‐on, daily maintenance duties at the properties.

Responsibilities include:

Maintenance and repairs of apartment units as well as common areas and exterior grounds. Responding to assigned tenant maintenance requests in a timely manner. Cleaning common areas and select apartments on unit turns. Performing minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, lock changes, drywall installation/repair, interior/exterior painting, cleaning, etc. Must be familiar with plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems. Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems. Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm). Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations.

Requirements:

Able to work full-time, 5 days per week between Mondays and Saturdays. Able to take after-hours calls. Minimum of 3 years' experience. Plumbing, boiler and electrical knowledge a plus. Have use of a car. Job requires driving to the scatter site properties on a daily basis. Properties in north side of Chicago. Must be comfortable using computers, smartphones and internet. Self-starter who sticks with projects to ensure execution. Enjoy keeping many balls in the air within a high-paced, high-demand environment. Professional and calm when talking to team members and residents. Very organized and a finisher.
