Job Description

General Description Circle K Service is a full service repair shop for medium and heavy duty diesel trucks and trailers. We are seeking an experienced Trailer Technician to troubleshoot and perform hands-on duties related to repair and maintenance of trailers, fabricate parts, and perform vehicle inspections. This position involves performing repairs and preventative maintenance on Semi Trailers, inspect and maintain. Repair damaged panels, axles, suspension and associated equipment. Fabricate trailer fixtures, including surface preparation, cutting of steel/aluminum, welding and painting. Must be able to work in a physically demanding and fast paced environment. Have a strong mechanical aptitude, welding or torch experience helpful.
Required Qualifications:
Must be able to pass a background and drug/breathe screen Must possess basic mechanic tools as required to work on class 8 trailers Valid driver's license State of Michigan license required in Heavy Duty fields ASE Certifications are desirable High school graduate or equivalent Current and prior experience performing medium and heavy truck trailer maintenance and repair Welding training and experience Experience with trailer brakes and electrical repairs Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently Commitment to Preventive Maintenance. Must be able to lift moderate to heavy weight Works well in a Team and on

Repair trailers and other equipment in a timely manner Ability to weld and fabricate parts Communicate effectively to ensure efficient repair and maintenance performance Inspect equipment; report mechanical issues and problems to shop management Maintain compliance with company policies and
OSHA/DOT/MOT/CCOHS/OSHA
Intl./ JWC regulations, as applicable Participate in safety programs
Physical Abilities:
