Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Truck Mechanic to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty vehicles and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our fleet running smoothly, supporting our operational goals with precision and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics passionate about heavy machinery, with a focus on hands-on repairs, troubleshooting, and technical excellence. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment including excavators, forklifts, tractors, and truck-trailers using OEM schematics and electrical systems knowledge. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmission servicing, hydraulic system troubleshooting, suspension adjustments, and tire service to maximize equipment uptime. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding, soldering, power tools, and hand tools to meet specific operational needs. Repair and service diesel engines, air brake systems, HVAC units, electrical components, and powertrain assemblies with attention to detail and safety standards. Use heavy lifting equipment safely during repairs or component replacements while adhering to all safety protocols. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and OEM documentation to accurately diagnose issues. Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed for compliance and future reference. Skills Heavy equipment repair experience with strong mechanical knowledge across various machinery types. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; capable of customizing or repairing parts as needed. Proficient in diagnosing electrical systems using schematics; experienced with automotive diagnostics tools. Knowledgeable in servicing excavators, forklifts, industrial equipment, and tractor-trailers.
Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
