Security Guard

Job Summary CIPS Security is looking for Security Officers. We will assist individual to obtain a Private Security Person license through the Wisconsin DSPS or currently possess a license . Cost for License will be reimbursed upon successful completion. These officers protect client assets by maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees and clients through patrolling, monitoring, and reporting. Flex Officers are designed to be available on short notice and for short term contract locations or positions. Will work with you on scheduling shifts that work for both parties. Responsibilities Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities Allowing/restricting access through moving traffic cones/opening and closing of gates Ensures safe operation of equipment by completing vehicle checks Follows instructions from supervisor and project manager Treats every situation with respect and professionalism Communicates as required by the employee handbook Operate a designated company vehicle Other duties as assigned Requirements Current/Active Licensure by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) Must be able to pass a drug test Must be able to bend, stoop, twist frequently Must be able to move up to 15 pounds frequently Must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours) Must be able to remain stationary for long periods of time (up to 12 hours) May work in outdoor weather conditions Must be able to observe, recognize, and assess surroundings Minimum Qualifications Must have a valid driver's license Must consent to and pass a comprehensive criminal background and driving history check Complete a pre-employment interview Complete all CIPS required employment training
