Truck Driver- Class A CDL-Over The Road- OTR

Due to growth, we are looking for an additional experienced truck driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. Our Company Snow Run Trucking is the trucking division of a Hardwood Lumber company that has been in business for Over 30 years. Snow Run Trucking provides deliveries of Kiln Dried and Green Hardwood Lumber through the Midwest, Eastern and Southern United States. We only use New Tractors and Equipment to ensure uptime with limited equipment failures. All of our trailers are 48' Curtain Side (Conestoga) which allows our drivers to easily and safely cover and uncover their loads

• You will not need to use traditional heavy tarps to cover your loads. Trucking Positions Snow Run Trucking is looking to hire an additional Over The Road Driver who will deliver Hardwood Lumber to customers throughout WI, MN, IN, OH, KY, PA and other states. Most trips involve backhauls of green lumber from our vendors throughout WI, MN and MI. Driver is paid per mile in the range of $0.48
• $0.60 per Mill (Pay based on experience and driving record
• Weekly mileage will range from 2,000
• 2,500 miles.

Responsibilities Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Plan routes and meet delivery schedules Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Skills Proven work experience as a truck driver Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc) Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly in All Weather Conditions Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Valid truck driving license Benefits Paid Vacation Time starting 1st year 401K with
