Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Truck Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. In this energetic role, you'll leverage your mechanical expertise to ensure trucks, industrial machinery, and farm equipment operate safely and efficiently. Your hands-on skills will keep our operations running smoothly, providing reliable service that keeps our business moving forward. Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, brakes, suspensions, and air brake systems on heavy trucks and industrial equipment Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and shock & strut replacements to maximize vehicle longevity Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems, HVAC units, and complex machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery Fabricate parts or components using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety protocols Inspect vehicles for compliance with safety standards; perform brake repairs, wheel alignments, suspension repairs, and hydraulic system servicing Maintain detailed service records; document repairs performed and parts used for each vehicle or piece of equipment Skills Experience with heavy truck or industrial equipment repair highly preferred Strong mechanical knowledge across diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and HVAC units Skilled in automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting using schematics and diagnostic tools Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other farm or industrial machinery Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques and fabrication processes Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for complex repairs Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients about repair needs and timelines Join us in this fast-paced role where your expertise keeps our fleet moving!
