High Reach Operator Job Description The High Reach Operator safely loads, unloads, selects cases, and moves products within a distribution center using a variety of material handling equipment to accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders. Responsibilities Load and unload products within the distribution center using high reach forklifts, electric walkies, and other material handling equipment. Select and pick customer orders accurately using RF scanners and related technology. Move, stage, and organize products and materials throughout the warehouse to support efficient order fulfillment. Operate high reach trucks, reach forklifts, and reach lifts safely and in accordance with company procedures and safety standards. Use electric walkies and walkie rider pallet jacks or slip trucks to transport pallets and cases as required. Handle inventory with care, including counting, locating, and verifying products to maintain accurate stock levels. Follow work orders and written instructions to complete tasks accurately and on time. Work in cold and freezer environments to pull materials, ensuring minimal time in the freezer while maintaining productivity. Inspect equipment before use and report any issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with warehouse safety policies. Work autonomously with minimal supervision while meeting performance and quality expectations. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support overall warehouse operations and meet customer service goals. Essential Skills High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 6 months of warehouse experience utilizing RF scan guns and equipment such as a walkie rider pallet jack or slip truck (for entry-level Warehouse 1). Demonstrated ability to safely operate a variety of industrial fork truck equipment, including high reach forklifts and reach lifts. Experience with material handling, including loading, unloading, and picking orders. Ability to use RF scanners for inventory and order picking tasks. Ability to work autonomously with little supervision while remaining self-motivated. Capability to work in a cold environment and briefly in freezer conditions. Ability to read and write English to understand and follow work orders and written instructions. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1-2 years of related warehouse experience preferred. High reach truck experience in a distribution or warehouse environment. Experience operating electric walkies, reach forklifts, and other powered industrial trucks. Knowledge of or ability to learn Cat2 software or other RF programming systems. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in order picking and inventory handling. Solid understanding of warehouse safety practices and safe equipment operation. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of New Oxford, PA.
