Description/Notes:
This position is for the 2026-2027 school year. This role follows a standard 178-day teacher contract. Ability to provide engaging visual arts instruction aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Responsibilities include developing and delivering creative lesson plans, teaching a variety of artistic media such as drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and digital art, and fostering a classroom environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, self-expression, and respect. The teacher will assess and evaluate student progress, maintain accurate records, manage classroom behavior according to district and campus policies, and collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student success. Participation in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and support of extracurricular art activities or exhibits will also be required.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and possess a valid Texas Teaching Certificate in Art (EC-12 or appropriate level), along with knowledge of TEKS, curriculum planning, and classroom management. Preferred candidates will have experience teaching high school art, using differentiated instruction and project-based learning, integrating technology into art instruction, and demonstrating strongmunication and collaboration skills.
Salary Range:
