General Laborer - Aerotek Hiring Now! We are hiring General Laborers to work in a large flour mill . This role starts with cleaning and sanitation and offers opportunities to cross‑train in packing, milling, warehouse, equipment operation, and basic welding exposure over time. What You'll Do Clean and sanitize the flour mill to meet safety and food standards Sweep flour dust and perform equipment blowdowns Follow lockout/tagout safety procedures when cleaning equipment Work on multiple floors and use stairs daily Help with packing, milling, and warehouse work after training Move bags, pallets, and materials Use computers for basic data entry Assist with machines and equipment once trained Help identify basic mechanical issues Perform basic quality checks Work safely around dust, loud machines, and heat Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Work 12‑hour rotating shifts after training Learn industrial skills including equipment maintenance and possible welding support tasks when assigned What We're Looking For Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Comfort with physical, hands‑on work Able to work in dusty, hot, and noisy conditions Basic math, reading, and writing skills Comfortable using computers Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Interest in learning trades like milling, equipment operation, and basic welding exposure Why Work Here Learn valuable trades (milling, forklift, equipment operation, welding exposure) Union environment with strong benefits Pay progression with no wage cap Double‑time pay on Sundays after conversion Stable, long‑term career opportunities Work Environment Large industrial flour mill (13 floors) Dusty, loud, and hot conditions Heavy equipment and production lines PPE required (hair/beard net, hard hat, steel‑toe boots) 12‑hour rotating shifts after training Great opportunity to start as a laborer and grow into skilled roles, including welding support. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.39 - $19.39/hr.
