Horticulture Grower / Rose Production Specialist

Gardens of Arcadia is a flower farm in Arcadia, Indiana specializing in garden roses and specialty flower production. We are looking for an experienced horticulture professional with hands-on knowledge of growing flowers and ornamental plants in open-field, in-ground production environments in Indiana or similar Midwest growing conditions. This is a serious production role for someone with practical growing experience, strong plant knowledge, and the ability to help oversee and improve open-field flower production operations. Responsibilities Monitoring overall plant and rose health Managing and assisting with irrigation and fertilization programs Identifying plant diseases, pests, and environmental stress issues Assisting with open-field flower production planning and workflow Supporting pruning, harvesting, and crop maintenance operations Helping improve field organization and growing efficiency Working closely with the farm team on day-to-day production needs Qualifications Experience growing flowers, ornamental plants, nursery crops, or horticultural crops in open-field, in-ground production environments Horticulture, agriculture, plant science, greenhouse, nursery, or related experience strongly preferred Knowledge of irrigation, fertilization, plant health, and open-field growing systems Ability to identify common plant health and production issues Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Experience working in Indiana or Midwest growing conditions preferred Compensation $25-40/hour depending on experience and qualifications.
