Job Description

Golf Shop Assistant Overview:
Responsible for Assisting the Golf Professionals in the Golf Shop and Outside Operations with giving the highest customer service and maintaining the golf shop in an appealing manner.
Responsibilities:
Enthusiastic greeting of customers (by name if possible) Display conduct in an appropriate manner at all times in accordance with the Omni Hotels Working knowledge of operation (36 holes, practice facility, etc.) Render professional advice, opinions, assistance, and services as required. Perform duties and meet requirements for sales, rentals, tournament golf leagues, and services which the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, and Assistant Professionals deems necessary. Book starting time reservations Promote the interests of the resort in providing service to the guest. Assist in presentation of golf shop Assist Merchandise Manager with any inventory counts. Maintain and balance daily cash register. Provide a customer friendly environment. Ability to answer any questions related to resort. Handle registration of players.
Qualifications:
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace. Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process. Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Must possess basic computational ability. Thorough understanding of course rotation and tee time arrangement. Must possess computer skills, including Microsoft Office 97, Excel and PowerPoint.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to reach , bend, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees. Ability to work in a standing and mobile position for long periods of time.
