Job Summary:

The Pro Shop Worker is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service to golfers and guests while assisting with the daily operations of the golf course pro shop. This includes checking in players, scheduling tee times, operating the point-of-sale system, selling merchandise, and maintaining a clean, organized retail environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates the Aloha Spirit by providing genuine hospitality, respect, friendliness, and a positive attitude toward guests and fellow employees. A passion for golf and knowledge of the game is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet golfers and guests in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner. Check in players and process tee time reservations. Operate the cash register and point-of-sale (POS) system for green fees, merchandise, and other transactions. Answer phone calls and assist customers with questions, bookings, and course information. Stock, organize, and display golf merchandise and accessories. Maintain inventory and notify management when supplies are low. Keep the pro shop clean, organized, and presentable. Assist with tournament registration and special golf events. Enforce golf course policies and communicate rules to guests as needed. Work collaboratively with golf course staff to ensure a positive customer experience. Promote a welcoming environment that reflects the Aloha Spirit . Perform opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and daily reports.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous retail, customer service, or golf course experience is a plus. Golf background or previous experience in the golf industry preferred. Basic computer and cash handling skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of golf terminology and the game of golf is preferred but not required. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods. Lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Work indoors and occasionally outdoors in varying weather conditions.
