In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately processing transactions, maintaining a clean and organized store, and ensuring shelves are fully stocked. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong communication skills, and is committed to creating a positive shopping experience for every customer. Key Responsibilities Welcome customers and provide friendly, courteous, and professional service. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately process cash, credit/debit, and mobile payments. Maintain accurate cash drawer balances and complete shift reconciliation. Stock shelves, coolers, and displays while ensuring merchandise is organized and attractively presented. Monitor inventory levels and assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries. Check product expiration dates and rotate inventory using first-in, first-out (FIFO) procedures. Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, checkout area, restrooms, and other store areas. Verify identification for age-restricted purchases in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Assist customers with product selection, questions, and resolving concerns in a professional manner. Follow all company safety, sanitation, security, and loss prevention procedures. Work collaboratively with team members and assist with other store duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic math and cash-handling abilities. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
