Job Description

Overview A Storied Club, A New Chapter Founded in 1894 and located just 20 miles south of Boston, Cohasset Golf Club features one of Donald Ross's first solo golf course designs, along with 4 clay tennis courts, 4 platform tennis courts, and first-class dining. In the club's 129-year history, only seven Head Golf Professionals have held the position — a testament to the stability and culture of the club. Ross began his involvement with Cohasset around 1909 and expanded the course from its original 9 holes to a full 18-hole layout in 1920. In 1999, Ron Prichard led a major restoration that reclaimed lost bunkers, widened greens to their original dimensions, and removed trees that had obscured Ross's original design intent — bringing the course back to the way Ross envisioned it. Reopening Spring 2027 Cohasset Golf Club is currently undergoing an exciting restoration project led by Jaeger Kovich of Proper Golf, including green expansions, new green construction, tree work, and tee box tie-ins throughout the golf course. The club is set to reopen in late spring of 2027, offering our next Assistant Professional a rare opportunity to be part of a newly restored, historic Donald Ross golf course from day one.
