Director of Recreational Gymnastics Eastern Pennsylvania | Full-Time | On-Site | Salary Commensurate with Experience 1,200 Kids. One Program. Your Leadership. A nationally recognized gymnastics organization in Eastern Pennsylvania is looking for the person who can lead a recreational gymnastics program serving approximately 1,200 children every year. This is not a job for someone who simply wants to coach gymnastics. And it's not a job for someone who wants to sit in an office and manage from a distance. You will own the program. The people. The coaching. The curriculum. The schedules. The standards. The athlete progression. The parent experience. And the problems that inevitably come with running a large gymnastics program. And a stronger program because you're leading it. What You'll Be Responsible For You will be responsible for the overall quality and day-to-day operation of the recreational gymnastics program.

That means:

Leading, mentoring, and developing the recreational coaching staff Setting clear expectations and holding people accountable Building and maintaining class curriculum and instructional standards Managing schedules, staffing, and class coverage Training and onboarding new instructors Developing lead instructors and future program leaders Watching classes and providing coaches with meaningful feedback Overseeing athlete evaluation, placement, and progression Maintaining a safe, organized, positive, and professional environment Working with administrative staff on enrollment, placement, and program logistics Improving the experience children and parents have with the program Supporting athlete retention and program growth Finding problems, fixing them, and creating systems that prevent them from happening again You won't be expected to do everything yourself. You Must Know Gymnastics This part is non-negotiable. You must have a meaningful gymnastics background to be considered for this position. You need to understand gymnastics well enough to walk onto the floor and know the difference between a class that is merely happening and a class that is being coached well.

Gymnastics fundamentals and skill progressions Recreational class structure Safe and effective instruction Athlete evaluation and placement Coach development How to create progression without sacrificing the child's experience Previous experience as a Recreational Gymnastics Director is helpful.
