Job Description

Overview Located in Martinsville, Virginia, Chatmoss Country Club offers a great opportunity for an aspiring golf professional to develop their career at one of the region's premier private clubs. Conveniently situated approximately one hour from both Greensboro, North Carolina and Roanoke, Virginia, Chatmoss provides the perfect balance of small-town hospitality and access to larger metropolitan amenities. At the heart of the club is our championship 18-hole golf course, designed by renowned architect Ellis Maples. The course is known for its outstanding conditioning, strategic design, and beautiful rolling terrain that creates an exceptional experience for players of all skill levels. Chatmoss is committed to providing members and staff with first-class facilities and a vibrant club atmosphere. Golf operations are enhanced by state-of-the-art technology, including a TrackMan Golf Simulator that supports instruction, club fitting, and year-round member engagement. Experience Required Must have strong customer/guest service skills Experience managing tee sheets, tournament operations, handicapping, and golf shop retail operations Strong knowledge of the Rules of Golf and tournament administration Solid supervisory and leadership skills, be well organized and detail-oriented, and have strong communication and interpersonal skills Must have computer and tournament software skills and experience 1-3 years of golf industry experience preferred PGA Member or Associate working to complete membership Essential Responsibilities Assist the Head Golf Professional in all day-to-day golf operations Working with the Head Golf Professional, execute excellent member experience and take appropriate action to assure the best customer service Utilize the club's point-of-sale and tee sheet management systems for daily operations, sales, reporting, and member services Order and display merchandise for sale in the pro shop in conjunction with the Head Golf Professional Assist in coordinating of individual, group, and tournament play as directed by the Head Golf Professional Monitor all aspects of play including starting, monitoring pace of play, safety on the course and golf course markings Perform other related duties as assigned Assist Head Golf Professional with lessons and clinics Benefits Practice and playing privileges Employee meal program while on duty Discounted meals while off duty
