Bakery Associate - Day Shift Job Description We are seeking dedicated Bakery Associates to join our team in Sacramento, CA, for the day shift. This role involves supporting production in a dynamic, high-volume food manufacturing environment. While this is an entry-level position, candidates should have prior experience in production or similar settings. Responsibilities Assist in the production of baked goods, including packaging, labeling, and staging finished products. Follow recipes, batch instructions, and production schedules to ensure consistency and efficiency. Work with bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, and packaging lines. Perform quality checks to ensure proper weight, labeling, and appearance of products. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to sanitation and food safety standards. Load ingredients, materials, and packaging supplies onto production lines as needed. Adhere to all safety, GMP, and company procedures. Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals. Essential Skills 6 months to 1 year of experience in production, food manufacturing, warehouse, or a similar environment. Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume production or bakery settings. Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness practices. Ability to follow instructions, SOPs, and recipes accurately. Reliable with strong attendance and a team-oriented mindset. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in bakery, food production, or manufacturing environments preferred. Experience working around or operating basic production equipment is a plus. Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, or other food safety regulations is strongly preferred. Ability to work early morning shifts, overtime, and flexible schedules as needed. Strong attention to detail with a focus on product quality and consistency. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Strong communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Work Environment The work is conducted in a fast-paced, high-volume bakery production environment on a production floor with continuous machine and line activity. Employees are exposed to varying temperatures, including warm areas near ovens and cooler storage areas. This role requires constant standing, walking, and repetitive movement throughout the shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
