We are perfectionists, passionate about food, and committed to providing memorable experiences to our guests. We are looking for an ambitious, hardworking Junior Baker to join our production team in San Carlos. Role Overview The Junior Baker will support the senior baker team by preparing and baking a variety of breads and viennoiseries. This role is ideal for someone with foundational baking skills looking to master French techniques, requiring a high sense of urgency, attention to detail, and a commitment to cleanliness.
Core Responsibilities Baking & Preparation:
Measure, mix, knead, and shape doughs and fillings according to proprietary recipes.
Viennoiserie & Bread:
Assist with lamination and shaping of croissants, brioche & all our other viennoiseries creations, and traditional bread.
Oven Management:
Monitor and clean industrial ovens to ensure consistent, high-quality bakes.
Quality Control:
Ensure all finished products meet Maison Alyzée's high standards for appearance, taste, and texture.
Kitchen Maintenance:
Maintain a pristine workstation, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation protocols (HACCP).
Inventory & Production:
Assist in tracking inventory and reducing waste during production.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
1 year to 3 year of professional bakery experience preferred (or strong training background).
Passion:
Strong interest in French pâtisserie and culinary arts.
Physical Stamina:
Able to work early morning or late closing shifts, stand for long periods (up to 8-10 hours), and lift up to 50 lbs.
Teamwork:
Ability to work quickly and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
