Position Summary:
As a Baker, you'll independently complete assigned production while meeting our standards for quality, consistency, food safety, and teamwork. This is an active, hands-on role — you'll be on your feet and moving throughout the kitchen for most of your shift. We're looking for people who can organize and pace their own work through production, cleaning, closing, and who bring a positive, collaborative attitude to the team every day. What you'll do: Prepare, mix, portion, shape, proof, laminate, bake, finish, and package a wide range of bakery, pastry, and dessert products Follow written recipes, production sheets, and food safety procedures accurately and consistently Organize and sequence your tasks to hit production deadlines without needing to be told what's next Monitor your products along the way — appearance, texture, temperature, doneness, and overall quality Safely operate commercial bakery equipment, including but not limited to our mixers, ovens, our mill, and dough sheeter Maintain food safety, sanitation, allergen-control, and stock-rotation standards Complete cleaning, deep-cleaning, and closing duties within your scheduled shift Speak up early about production delays, equipment issues, ingredient shortages, or safety concerns Work collaboratively with the team and jump into other production areas when needed Help with deliveries occasionally, depending on your position As we grow, help bring new items to life: sourdough, gelato, entremets, cold case treats, and custom cakes Take part in training, product testing, and menu development as opportunities come up What we're looking for: Previous experience in a commercial bakery, pastry, culinary, or restaurant setting preferred- but we're open to a range of experience levels Someone who can follow a recipe and a process independently Strong attention to quality, consistency, and cleanliness Ability to organize your own work and keep a steady, productive pace through a full shift A team player who communicates well and takes coaching and feedback in stride Reliable attendance and punctuality
