Hogan's Cider Mill, Burlington, CT Seasonal Position:
Training begins in August | Seasonal employment through December Hogan's Cider Mill is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bakery Associate to join our seasonal bakery team. This position focuses on producing our fresh donuts, pies, and turnovers that have become a tradition for generations of customers. This is an independent role that often involves working alone in the bakery. As required by the local health department, applicants must possess a current Food Protection Manager Certification. Responsibilities
  • Prepare and produce donuts, pies, and turnovers according to established recipes and procedures
  • Operate and monitor our Belshaw Donut Robot and other bakery equipment
  • Ensure products are consistently fresh, properly baked, and attractively presented
  • Package and label bakery products as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bakery environment
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Monitor ingredient and supply levels and communicate inventory needs
  • Assist with bakery setup, cleanup, and daily opening and closing procedures
  • Maintain production levels to meet customer demand, especially during weekends and peak seasons Qualifications
  • Current Food Manager Certification required
  • Previous bakery, kitchen, food service, or food production experience
  • Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities without direct supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Availability to work weekends and holiday weekends We're looking for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in producing quality baked goods, and understands the importance of food safety. Experience operating commercial bakery equipment is helpful but not required; training on our specific equipment and procedures will be provided. Schedule

  • Hours may increase during peak fall season
